CannaHauler
Style Guides and UI Design
The Client
CannaHauler is a startup tackling the logistical challenges of legal cannabis
Transportation requirements for cannabis can be a lot to keep track of, and can vary by state. Maintaining organized records of product movement is a burden on dispensaries and upon the transportation providers that support them. CannaHauler's mission is to help ease this burden by automating as much of the process as possible.
Deliverables:
Style Guide for CannaHauler products
Efficient UI for Dispatchers managing route assignments
Mobile App workflows for Drivers recording delivery updates
Style Guide for CannaHauler Products
A sampling from the style guide that highlights common design elements

The CannaHauler blue served as a starting point for a basic palette of reserved colors. Accent hues selected with care so as not to compete with indicators of importance and urgency.
Efficient UI for Dispatchers managing route assignments
Sample view of the dispatcher's order board (highlighting hover states)

Quick-filter views provide the dispatcher awareness of their active transports, and whether any require immediate attention or follow-up.

End-to-end prototypes aided user testing and guided development. This sample screen shows various hover states, demonstrating elements from the style guide applied in context.
App workflows for Drivers recording delivery updates
Supporting the delivery driver with everything they need to document their pickups and drop-offs.

This sample touchpoint shows the driver about to accept a pickup/delivery assignment that has multiple drop-off destinations. Everything the driver may need to support documenting the trip – for example, verifying products and advancing the trip's status – can be accessed from this screen. Also of note is the app's support for a dark mode, to accommodate night driving.
